NMHS protects integrity of Morrisseau art

NMHS protects integrity of Morrisseau art

The Norval Morrisseau Heritage Society was formed in 2005 at Morrisseau's request to compile a catalogue raisonne - a comprehensive volume documenting every known work created by the artist - in order to deal with the growing number of Morrisseau forgeries. Their mission is to "research, document and promote the artistic achievement of Norval Morrisseau and to protect the integrity of his art."

Left to right: Michele Vadas, Gabe Vadas; Board members: Richard Baker, Viviane Gray, Lee-Ann Martin, Dr. Ruth Phillips, Greg A. Hill, Absent: Dr. Elizabeth McLuhan: Morrisseau's legal counsel, Aaron Milrad.
